Pierre Charles Lefebvre entered the prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, or PAFA, with a four-year scholarship in 1966. The Academy is the oldest fine arts institution in the United States. There he studied with masters such as Walter Hancock, Harry Rosen and Tony Greenwood.

In Strasbourg, France, Pierre studied at the Arts Décoratifs with Professeur Stein, Curator of the magnificent cathedral in this city. In the U.S. he collaborated with the University of Pennsylvania Museum in Philadelphia.

Intrigued to master the very complex art form of bas relief, Pierre began studying with Frank Gasparro, the late famed Chief Engraver of the United States Mint.

His association with Edward Marshal Boehm Company started in 1977 and lasted until 2000. He was named master artist in 1989.

Many of Pierre’s original masterpieces, produced by Boehm in porcelain or bronze, found their way to international museums. Such pieces include the American Bald Eagle, nicknamed Hermitage Eagle, now on permanent display in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, the Sea to Shining Sea Eagle in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Harbinger of Peace in the Vatican Museum in Rome.

Numerous sculptures are displayed in the White House, Buckingham Palace in London and the UN Building in New York.

Pierre Charles is currently working on a new line of work for the numerous art connoisseurs he had the pleasure and privilege to meet during his many trips in the US and abroad.

"Individuality is a precious gift that I treasure…I wish to share elements of my individuality with others through art."
